Ethnoscience Studies in Making of Bale Adat: Literature Review

This study aims to elaborate on indigenous science contained in the use of materials for making bale adat based scientific concepts. is a literature with data sources from previous research articles that have topics related ethnoscience learning, tradition adat, and potential integration learning natural sciences. The procedure carried out stages, namely collecting library data, reading, taking notes, studying, concepts or manuscripts, then carrying elaboration explanation collected data/text. results show (1) typical Sasak tribe consists several types, beleq bencingah, bonter, tani, jajar, tajuk, berugag (sekepat-sekenam); (2) Indigenous namely: a) foundation made mixture clay, tree sap, straw ash rice husk, buffalo dung mixed water, b) floor periodically smeared water reduce humidity, c) walls room covering are woven bamboo slats known as local term pager, d) pagers ampel various motifs sometimes beautify pager , material used spotted which has colorful bark, teken, ampak, lampen, langkar part believed be strongest locally kayu galih, e) roof weeds leaves into frame clips split small pieces; (3) can integrated school concept, material: network structure function, well technology inspired by plant properties utilization everyday life.
